How FACE MUSCLES sculpt your face!

How FACE MUSCLES sculpt your face!

Yes, there is an alternative to make-up contouring. When you work out in the gym, outdoors or in a member club, you usually neglect one part of your body: Your Face!
With over 40 muscles there is quite a lot to get out of it as these are the only muscles directly connected to your skin. This allows you to frown, smile or whistle. Learn in this article how these muscles can shape your face and how Facial Exercises can have a huge impact on how your face will look and age in the best way possible. You can tone and sculpt these just like your abs. So why don't you give it a go and see for yourself where you can take your own beauty?
They help you chew, they help you express yourself and they make you what you are: Your Facial Muscles, also known as craniofacial muscles. These are a group of about 20 flat muscles lying underneath your skin face and scalp.
Unlike other skeletal muscles, they are not surrounded by fascia. The only exception is the buccinator muscle, the one that connects the cheek to teeth and helps you chew.
Your facial muscles gather around openings like your mouth, eye, nose and ear but they can also stretch across the skull down to your neck.
  • Eyelid (orbital group)
  • Nose (nasal group)
  • Mouth (buccolabial group)
  • Cranium & Neck (epicranial group)
  • External ear (auricular group)

Your Facial muscles are placed in a very unique way and attach directly to your skin. This enables them to move your face and do facial expressions like smiling, frowning etc. The name of these muscles is muscles of facial expression, or mimetic muscles. A Facial nerve (CN VII) activates all the muscles. This allows sending information from the brain to the face to express yourself & use your Facial Muscles.

As You age, you lose muscle mass

Muscle atrophy is part of your ageing process and is completely normal. Just like the collagen production in your skin, the production of muscle tissue reduces as you age. Your muscle mass decreases approximately 3–8% per decade after the age of 30. It is even higher after the age of 60. That’s why especially the very old generation has usually quite a thinly structured face, with saggier skin due to muscle loss which once held everything in place and made their skin look plump.

The Alternative to Injectables

If muscles underneath your skin become bigger, the skin has more tissue to wrap around and the firmer muscles appear to make the shape of your face fuller and more sculpted. The muscle growth can restore the volume in your face or maintain it for longer as it counteracts the effects of ageing. This way you can with daily Facial Exercises from our program lift and sculpt your overall face over time. This way you are able to counteract the effect of ageing and reduce the speed of muscle atrophy in your face.
